About the nicest thing of the festival this year was spending time with my sister, who was an incredibly good sport. It's not often you get to play dress-ups with your siblings as an adult, but it was so much fun blinging her right up for the Friday Re-enactors Joust Session at the Abbey Medieval Festival 2026.
I have two favourite outfits at the moment, so having them both worn at once was a bit of fun for me, and of course, my sister looks absolutely stunning in my things. She's younger and prettier, so it always makes me happy to see my very best things on someone making them look even better than when I wear them.
