Mirror, Mirror...

I've long angsted about the way resin yellows with age and although ivory does yellow with age, back when a 14th century woman owned her carved mirror, it would have been new. I have a lovely reproduction mirror case with mirror which, although new to me and in great condition, was far more yellow than ivory out to be when new.
Solution? Paint it.
I tried a few different types of paint trying to get the right combination of colour, sheen and not too thick to blot out the details of the mirror. After a few false starts, I made a choice which ticked all the boxes. I'm using Matisse, an acryllic craft paint in Ghost Gum. Painting almost complete and I'm very pleased with the result!
