Well, since a coat of arms is awarded to a single person and not a whole family, there are a few Gilbert coat of arms on the family tree. I often use the red with white chevron and three red roses because it's my favourite of them all!
This is the one that I usually use. I really should make one of these too. Just because I can, but it's really unnecessary. I've used it halved on a heraldic kirtle I used to wear a lot before I realised I actually put it on the dress incorrectly. I copied the placement from someone else but since then I have learned that it should have been entirely on the front, not wrapped around the side. Sigh. We live and learn.
