Tonight I took down my Rosalie's Medieval Woman website, or most of it, and all that remains is to rebrand the page which will, I am completely certain, cause a mass exodus of followers.
I'm past caring.
Anyway, probably a new banner for this page too at some stage, but I'll still be making stuff and maybe sewing. I have a very large number of unfinished projects, and my brain will explode if I don't complete them, even if I won't be using them.
As for the book stuff, tonight I am feeling particularly unenthused about that too, and I may even stop making the effort there too. It's a huge amount of effort for what was, after tax last financial year, very little. I know I was never in it for the money, more to spread the good word about medieval women's intimate lives, but I'm not mercenary enough to want to monetise everything I do.
My website, the tutorials and downloads have always been free. I've never asked for sunscriptions or accepted ads on anything because they're really annoying. I like to be able to give for free. Life is so damn expensive, and I'm not going to make people on tight budgets miss out because they'd rather buy bread.
Anyway, almost all of the website is gone now, except for the book stuff.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who stuck around, sent me pictures of outfits you made, swapped stories of making things, entered my comps (the follow up winners from my last comp... still haven't posted your stuff yet, but hang in there, it WILL make it to the post office) and especially my thanks to those amongst you who supported me by buying a book or more to help me pay for the incredible artisans who have made me such beautiful things.
