Abbey Medieval Festival 2023 Highlights.
An enormous thank you to so many people who helped make this year especially great for me!
The Abbey Medieval Festival team who gave Ex Libris Living History such a wonderful camp space were absolutely wonderful and it was a joy to meet so many of the new Knights of Abbeystowe who dropped into the camp for a meet and greet and rosewater handwash. I loved attending the Knighting Ceremony of my friend Sir Anthony Wright from Companie Draco Routiers which was a beautiful candle-lit ceremony at St Michael's Church. The Opening Ceremony would not have been the same without the enthusiastic participation of Belswagger Morris and the most beautiful and gracious Ladies from Companie Draco Routiers and our very own Ex Libris Ladies. A big shout out to Vikki Hooper and Alicia Hurst who attended as first time re-enactors and helped out all over the place. Naturally, the hospitality and mulled wine at Horses, Hounds, Hunters and Farmers Living History was much enjoyed.

An enormous thanks to the Bringers of Cheese from Adelaide, the posse who turned up with a care package which turned out to be many types of cheese and some bikkies and quince paste to go with, and everyone who stopped by my tent to see what medieval women did to keep themselves nice, clean and smelling sweet.
My favourite moment had to be the return of a Smol Lady who brought her stuffed squirrel in to meet my own Scarlet Skwirl so they could be friends. So many thanks to everyone who stopped and was kind enough to chat Lady things or share coffee.
