Finally the How To Make Fake Braids tutorial which I've been asked for quite frequently is LIVE!

The hairstyles of the 14th century are a bit ridiculous, so to embrace the proper look, one needs to have the proper silly hair. Unfortunately, many of us, myself included, have either short or very fine hair and reproducing the hairstyles properly with what we have, isn't an option.

Happily, false hair and false braids made from either real or fake hair is an actual medieval thing, so by faking it, we are actually NOT faking it in a non-historical way. For mine, I used an over the counter acrylic hairpiece (from Lady Jayne, perhaps?) which was both affordable and close to my own hair colour.

With a little careful braiding, some wool and a few stitches, you too have have fabulous hair like this!
