Two new books arrived yesterday, both not for study, which is why it's taken me so long to order them.  The first is from a lady I know on social media, Fake History Hunter, and it's just about debunking popular urban myths, most of which are attached to photos on facebook or insta etc with incorrect data. Everything from Napoleon shooting the nose off the sphinx to a few persistant medieval myths.

I'm only a quarter the way through it, but it's a fun read!

The other is from the Weird Medieval Guys and a quick flick through and I was initially disappointed to see page after page of medieval pics with funny text under and not much else. I did finally find the list of sources at the end of the book, so that cheered me up substantially.

It's a fun book, but not really what I was expecting.

I haven’t ordered Fake History Hunter’s book yet. I’m not sure about Weird Medieval Guys. I have developed a really bad habit of buying books by people I follow on social media and the stack is getting rather large. Some of them have been real treasures, though.
