Getting preachy!

A new book arrived for my library and let me tell you it was worth every cent I paid.
There have been a couple of real gems in his examplia including a rather surprising mention of Adam's sin in the garden of Eden, which I'd not hear anywhere before. The short version is that Eve sinned by taking the fruit, but Adam sinned equally by blaming her when confronted by God. According the the text, Adam should have admitted his own guilt in eating the fruit of the tree and not blamed Eve. By refusing to accept responsibility for his own actions (since he did actually eat the fruit when he could have remained steadfast and refused) he also sinned.
I'd not heard this bandied about before this book, and I thought it was a very interesting take. I also agree. Should your God appear and ask if you ate the fruit, one should say, Yes, I also ate the fruit, I am guilty, not She Made Me and assign blame in order to avoid responsibility.
Very interesting!
