The night before Newcastle Medieval Festival, my friend and I stayed at the Nag's Head Hotel, the oldest in the area. It had been sympathetically updated and was full of quirky heritage things.
They had the most terrific pressed tin ceilings and cornice work which really did look like naughty body parts, although I'm sure that was not the intention. Flowers and hearts, I'm sure. Not bottoms and camel toes.
