This is my Bear In the Woods meme. Lots of women were making their versions of these after the popular original meme started making the rounds, but I absolutely did not expect the response I got from this one.
Among the comments, a young man, looking no more than in his 20s with his mirrored sunglasses started up about how women who choose the bear don't understand that bears are dangerous. We explained that we do. He he started going on about the stupidity of women who were choosing the bear if they thought it was dangerous. Women replied. He got rude. I blocked him from commenting because rudeness is not to be tolerated on my page and also, it's a page about medieval women and sewing mostly. He wasn't a page follower, just looking to Make His Point.
He got angry. In less than a minute he was back using a fake account. I know it was him, because he said I couldn't get rid of him so easily. I blocked him again and that's when it got really nasty. Almost immediately, I received a private inbox message saying if I didn't stop the virtue signalling, I'd end up r@ped and dead. Just like that. Over a meme.
I'm still shaking my head that this person didn't understand that this meme was... well, a meme.
