Kontusz progress, Part infinity

Slowly but surely, the Kontusz is taking shape.

Last night I finished the gold piping trim, and started to attach the gold metal thread tassels. I'm in a bit of a quandary as the shade of gold is slightly mismatched to the braid across the chest. I guess it's not terribly noticeable.

I managed the button loops better than I expected, but I still need to stitch them a bit more firmly. All in all, pleased with the progress.
