Conversion, but in a good way!
18 January 2023 07:05 am I'm pretty excited that the re-emergence of our medieval group, Ex Libris Living History is taking shape!
The two marketplace helpers from last year are showing real signs of embracing reenactment life.
One is keenly looking at medieval clothes and historical patterns and making her very first kirtle, and the other, who does cosmetics trials and make up videos on You Tube under the name Lissful Beauty is extremely interested in learning more about medieval skin care and cosmetics. I told her she can just make them for fun or she can actually do talks and demos on her processes at events and she seems to be very interested in doing just that!
It looks like I'll be organising a lot of the Abbey Medieval Festival opening ceremony again this year, so that's another thing added to my To Do list. Still, it's fun if it's not dumped on me at the last moment.
Of course, if we a get right into displays, we are going to need a person to relieve all of us for toilet breaks, which is what the girls signed on for last year!
