Parade Shield- Part 2

A little progress on the Ex Libris Living History Parade shield! So far, I've done three coats of gold since I'm not doing actual gilding, and agonised about whether to do a border or not.

I decided to go with a black border and I'm glad I did. I feel it does make it stand out a little better. The writing under the squirrel's feet will be white with a thin black border, so I think that will work well too.
