Here's a close up of a section of the roses. The new style pleases me greatly and I'm happy with the centre lines matching the white I originally used for the rose petal curls.

And here's how it will look as an entire thing when it's done, but imagine the background a bit whiter, like white bed sheets which have been washed a lot and aren't as brilliant white as they were.

Seeing it en mass, makes me re-think the vines and leaves, though I really want them. I'm also afraid of wrecking all the work I've done so far by adding stuff I later hate. My plan now is to digitally edit the bottom photo to include vines and leaves in a few different ways and see how I feel. The trap here though, is what looks nice on a screen may not look quite as nice in the tent with everything in front of it. Here's what I mean.

The dark half is the side of the tent, so it's side on, and won't be seen straight on fully. The backdrop will be going in a corner, so this image doesn't quite show how it's going to look, but you get the feel. Now add a person standing next to it some of the time. A table off to the side.

Further thought... does it really NEED vines and leaves to make the white gaps between the roses less white so the bath canopy will blend less into the background? I think it might.

Thoughts?

I think testing the vines out on a photograph first is a sensible plan. That way you won't spoil all your hard work if you find the vines don't look right.

It all looks stunning as it is, I don't know how you get the roses so evenly spaced.

How clever, I never would have thought of that!
