It never ends.

Photo taking and editing is a slow process, and I'm getting some really lovely pictures, but frustratingly, my Monday girl who is the most (and I don't really know how to put this...) not caucasion model has just cancelled. She made her excuses but I feel she just chickened out. Issue now is, my photos for the next book will have some diversity (a Greek girl and an Indian girl) but not really a wide scope of cultures and faces represented.

I really don't like how many history books only show white faces, and I do realise that in the case of manuscripts, Africans or Moors are not well represented, but I really had hoped to be inclusive in my faces regarding age and colour. While I have been paying my models the going rate, I feel that going through a model agency will have added fees and for heaven's sake, what WILL they think of my makeshift home studio and low-tech set up? I do have friends who would be delighted and provide diverse faces, but none of them are local.

I mean, my photos are coming out beautifully for what I need them to do, but it's hardly a professional set up.

So, bother. I need more models again.
