Mirror begins!

My mirror has arrived and it's the perfect size for the project! 

Ill be using Jo Sonja paint as she has a really great madder brown red. I'm thinking I will need two coats of paint and I'm not sure whether I'll need a base coat of primer or whether it'll adhere well as it is.
