Lots to love about this manuscript image, but also a lot going on. Is she wearing a coif and still attempting to comb her hair? Is she using the comb to spread something on her hair, like a hair colour or bleach or conditioner?

I do love the red border on the mirror and the fact that her face is very faintly seen in the mirror.

I feel like it should illuminate the Wife of Bath’s tale. That image in the mirror is perfect. And of course I love the comb. I am still determined to get myself some boxwood one day and try to make one.
